The Sarandipity Fund was set up by the family of Army Officer Sara Knutson. Sara was born in Baltimore in 1985, trained at airborne school and flew UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters at Ft Rucker as an Army Officer. On March 11, 2013, during a training mission in Afghanistan Sara’s helicopter went down and the 5 crew members onboard perished.
